Transient Characteristic Analysis of Integral Pressurized Water Reactor From Forced Circulation to Natural Circulation

  • Natural circulation of nuclear reactor has heat dumpling capacity, which can improve the inherent safety of reactor. In this paper, the conceptional design of integrated pressurized water reactor was studied and RELAP5/MOD3.4 was used to analyze transient characteristic in the process from forced circulation to natural circulation. What’s more, the influence of reactor power, resistance, moment of inertia of main pump, and various operation strategies on transient characteristic in this conversion process were also studied.
