Abstract
The potential radon concentration in soil (the maximum radon concentration in soil) is directly related to indoor radon levels, and the depth of direct measurement normally takes up to several meters. The measurement is very difficult, and it’s necessary to find a way to get the potential radon concentration in soil fast. In this paper, a theoretical model which can get the potential radon concentration in soil fast by taking advantage of the radon concentration in the shallow soil and the radon exhalation rate of soil surface(dual-source method) was established and verified by experiments. The results prove that this model is reliable. The establishment of this model provides a foundation for the research of fast measurement method for the potential radon concentration in soil.
