Method of Time-Delay Correction in Continuous Measuring Radon

  • It is necessary that a radon instrument has good time-response for measuring continuously. All kinds of factors were analyzed thoroughly that cause time-delay in continuous measurement of radon. A method was developed by eliminating residual radon progeny and adequate ventilation. This method was applied in NRL-1 continuous radon meter that was developed by University of South China. The experimental results show that the method is very effective, can continuously measure radon concentration in the changing air without time-delay.
