Monte Carlo Simulation of Compton Scattering Process for Linear Polarized γ-ray

  • The Compton scattering process of γ-ray with different energy and polarizations was simulated by Monte Carlo simulation program Geant4. The polarization of incident γ-ray was also calculated according to the asymmetry of scattered γ-ray. The simulated polarization agrees well with the theoretical values, and it means that the Monte Carlo simulation can be used in the study of the interaction of polarized γ-ray and provide supervisor for the design of γ-ray polarimeter.
