Multifunctional Data Acquisition System Based on USB and FPGA

  • A multifunctional data acquisition system based on USB and FPGA was developed. The system has four analog inputs digitalized by fast ADC. Based on flexibility of FPGA, different functions can be implemented such as waveform sampling, pulse counting, multi-channel pulse height analysis, and charge division readout process. The hardware communicates with host PC via USB interface. The Labview based user software initializes the hardware, configures the running parameters, reads and processes the data as well as displays the result online.
