Simulation Study on Physical Parameters of In-pile Supercritical Water Loop Irradiation Facility

  • In-pile supercritical water loop is essential for irradiation and corrosion tests of candidate fuel and structural materials of supercritical water reactor. The irradiation facility is the key component of the loop, positioned in the grid of the reactor core. Physical parameters were calculated with MCNP code, considering the thermal feedback. The thermal neutron and fast neutron fluence rate, irradiation heating and reactivity insertion of the irradiation facility are respectively 4.72×1013 cm-2•s-1, 1.55×1014 cm-2•s-1, 14.7 kW and 0.045%.
