Study on Accurate External Radiation Dose Assessment Method Based on Voxel Model

  • Worker’s radiation dose assessment in radiation environment is an important aspect of radiation protection research. Accordting to the inhomogeneity of the radiation field and difference of organs radiation-sensitive, it is necessary for accurate assessment of the radiation dose of workers. Based on Chinese high-precision radiation virtual human model Rad-HUMAN developed by FDS team, an accurate human dose assessment method was developed. The results show that the voxel-based organs dose assessment method can achieve precise organ-level dose compared with traditional methods. At present, the method has been integrated into the nuclear and radiation safety simulation system RVIS, originally developed by FDS team.
