Preliminary Analysis of Breeder Materials Impact on TBR and Nuclear Heating for Water Cooling Solid Breeder Blanket of CFETR

  • China Fusion Engineering Testing Reactor (CFETR) is China’s fusion reactor being designed. The three-dimensional Monte Carlo neutron-photon transport code MCNP was used in the neutronics performance calculations for water cooling solid breeder blanket (WCSB) of CFETR which use the Li4SiO4 and Li2TiO3 as it breeder material. By comparative analysis of the tritium breeder ratio, neutron wall loading and nuclear heat calculation results of the different models, the results show the main factors which influence the neutronics performance of blanket are the blanket breeder material and its design.
