Study on Production of 14C in CPR1000 PWR

  • Product mechanism of 14C in PWR was introduced in this paper. 47 groups neutron fluence rate was obtained by accurate 3D MCNP model. 14Cproduction rates and annual production in the regions of primary coolant, fuel pellets, fuel cladding, and core reflector were calculated. The model and calculations are typical and can be applicable to CPR1000 PWR.
