HANDF-E: A Program for TWR Burnup Calculations Based on Hexagonal Nodal Method

  • For the characteristics of high burnup, fine axial mesh of traveling-wave reactor (TWR), a macroscopic burnup code, HANDF-E, was developed based on a hexagonal nodal method. Compared with the benchmark results, it shows that HANDF-E can meet the fast and accurate requirements of TWR. Especially, in the framework of six groups, it can achieve the optimization of speed and accuracy.
