Investigation on Low-cycle Fatigue Property of Domestic A508-3 Steel

  • By combining the subject of the Task Force 973, the investigation on low-cycle fatigue property of the domestic A508-3 steel was carried out. The purpose is to obtain material fatigue performance data and to evaluate A508-3 steel fatigue property through the low-cycle fatigue test, micro hardness calculation, specimen fracture morphology and microstructure analysis. The results will provide reference data basis for following irradiation property study of the materials. The results show that the low-cycle fatigue property of the domestic A508-3 steel conforms to the ASME design specifications, and has the charactristic of cyclic softening.
