Simulation Study of Space Charge Effect for CSNS LINAC

  • In the paper, the simulation study on the space charge effect was performed at the LINAC by using three-dimension code IMPACT-Z. The emittance evolution was studied in the point of view of the singe-particle dynamics and multi-particle dynamics with different peak beam currents. The effect of mismatch was studied by simulation, and the emittance growth and beam loss with different mismatch factors were given.
