Influence of Electrode Thickness on Rate Capability of MRPC

  • With the increase of accelerator luminosity, high rate capabilities of MRPCs are urgent to construct TOF system. The DC model and a two-dimensional resistor network model can be used to study the relationship between MRPC rate capability and electrode thickness. The rate capability of MRPC related to different thicknesses of glass electrodes was studied, which confirms that the rate capability is strongly dependent on the thickness of glass. By decreasing the thickness of glass electrode, the rate capability of MRPC can be improved.
