Development of TiO2/SiO2 Composited Aerogel Foam Target for X-ray Backlight

  • The TiO2/SiO2 composited aerogel foam target with low doping ratio was prepared by sol-gel process in this paper. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to character the doping concentration and chemical composition of the target. The results show that the actual doping ratio of TiO2 is about 4.40%, which can meet the requirement of laser targeting experiment. The laser-X-ray conversion experiment also proves that the quality of X-ray backlight image of the low density TiO2/SiO2 composited aerogel foam target is good.
