Preliminary Study on Dividing Plume Emergency Planning Zone for PWR

  • Combined with the characters of sites and based on determined radiological consequences evaluation method, the individual effective dose and the thyroid dose of the public were computed for a typical beyond design basis accident of a 200 MW PWR. Based on relevant experience of existing emergency planning zone and actual situation of the site, by comparing the estimating value of dose to intervention level of standard, plume emergency planning zones were determined primarily. An effective method for plume emergency planning zone dividing was offered, and a scientific basis was provided for nuclear accident emergency decision.
