Simulation and Analysis of Start-up Process of High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor

  • The engineering simulator was devoted to simulate the start-up process of the high temperature gas-cooled reactor pebble-bed module demonstration plant (HTR-PM) by taking advantage of the real-time and coupled calculations in multiple systems. After analyzing the fluctuation ranges and establishing the control methods of the main parameters, the operating characteristics of modular high temperature gas-cooled reactor in start-up process were investigated, especially the coupling effects of two modules in the whole plant. The research is useful as the reference to determine the operation modes and rules for the nuclear power plant.
