Validation and Simulation on Tank Container Transportation Device for Intermediate Level Waste

  • In order to validate the safety of tank container transportation device in the aspects of mechanic and radiation protection, the calculation and simulation method were taken in this paper. The results show that the wall, the cover thickness and weld stress of the device meet the GB 150 3—2011 requirements, and its shielding effect meets the technical specification requirements. The stress distribution of main cylinder and head is even. The deformation displacement is in the permitted range, and the mechanical strength and thickness of the vehicle are enough for safe and radiation protection.
