Calculation of Photon Effective Dose Conversion Coefficient Based on Chinese Reference Female Boundary Representation Phantom

  • The Chinese reference female boundary representation (BREP) phantom and voxel phantom were established based on the human sectional anatomy image in this paper. The photon effective dose conversion coefficients of 20 monoenergetic photon beams from 0.01 MeV to 10 MeV were carried out using MCNP under six standard irradiation geometries. The result of BREP phantom was compared with that of the voxel phantom. The results show that the variation trends of photon effective dose conversion coefficient of BREP phantom and voxel phantom are similar under the different irradiation geometries. The differences of photon effective dose conversion coefficient under most energy are under 10%. The difference of photon effective dose conversion coefficient is mainly due to the location and quality of organs which have a certain influence on dose, especially under low energy level.
