Human Factors Engineering Research Based on Visual Display Unit

  • To meet the HFE (human factors engineering) requirement, the character height and graphic symbol size should be chosen differently from the size of the visual display unit where to be displayed. From analyzing the physical characteristic of the visual display unit, and dot pitch and resolution, the HFE analysis methods and corresponding formulas were derived. And the minimum character height and graphic symbol size for common visual display units were calculated and provided.
