Study on Nodal and Monte Carlo Coupling Method

  • The conventional nodal method could not calculate the distribution of fine neutron flux density in assemblies. A coupling method, called incident angular flux nodal and Monte Carlo coupling (IFNMC) method, was put forward. The computer code was programmed to verify this method. The calculation results are consistent quite well with the reference data. The IFNMC method is both effective and accurate for fine neutron flux density and other parameter calculations in special assembly.
