Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Flow and Vortex Structure in New Lattice

  • The quasi-periodic large scale vortex structure and turbulent flow characteristic in a new lattice with non-uniform wall thickness was investigated with the unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) method. It is revealed that the new lattice is more superior to the traditional lattice. The increase of spanwise angle can enhance the vortex structure intensity. The resistance coefficient decreases firstly and then becomes stable with the increase of spanwise angle. But the heat transfer coefficient increases slightly after reaching minimum.
