Evaluation of γ-ray Skyshine Dose Rate due to Radioactive Waste Lifting at Nuclear Power Plant

  • The γ-ray skyshine due to radioactive pointsource was simulated with MCNP in this paper. Moreover, the main factors which affect γ-ray skyshine were studied, and the conclusions provide references for corresponding radiation protection of nuclear power plant. The γ-ray skyshine dose rate due to radioactive waste lifting at nuclear power plant was evaluated specifically, and a rapid evaluation method of γ-ray skyshine dose rate due to radioactive body-source was founded by use of the results of radioactive point-source. The implementation of this method meets the engineering rapid response requirement effectively.
