Calculation of Thoracic Retention Functions Based on ICRP New Respiratory Tract Model

  • Based on the new respiratory tract model of ICRP publication 66, the thoracic retention functions were gained by solving first order linear and nonlinear differential equations. The result was compared with the data from ICRP publication 78 and the calculation result of INDO2003 software written by China Institute for Radiation Protection. It is shown that the calculation method is credible.
