Abstract
The transmittance variation of ZF6 lead glass which was irradiated by 60Co under the same dose rate but different cumulative doses was researched through experiment. By putting the irradiated lead glass exposed on the radiation of sunshine outdoors, indoors nature light and dark drawer separately, the effect of sunlight exposure on the recovery of glass coloring was studied. The results show that the sunlight plays a significant role in the recovery of radiation coloring of lead glass, and the effect of indoors nature light to lead glass transmittance can be neglected when building the mathematical model of the relationship between the lead glass transmittance and the radiation time. The experimental results are verified that the lead glass transmittance presents exponential relevant to irradiation time. According to the literature data, the relationship between the lead glass transmittance and its illumination time is linear, but the results by the relationship and the actual values are in poor agreement. Through the spline curve interpolation method, the relationship of the lead glass transmittance and its illumination time is a quadratic function, which gets a good agreement.
