Pipe Stress Analysis for Support Cooling System of High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor

  • The pipe stress of reactor support cooling system of high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) was calculated by using finite element method in this paper. The feature and stress distribution of pipe were analyzed. The influence of support and hanger on the pipe stress distribution was investigated. Finally, an optimized method of support and hanger arrangement was determined, and the results satisfied ASME.
