Development of Control System for Insulated Core Transformer Electron Accelerator

  • The control system for an insulated core transformer (ICT) electron accelerator with low-energy was developed. The control, communication, power electronics and other technologies were applied in the control system. The main controller of the system is SIEMENS S7-1200 series PLC, and the HMI device is used to achieve the monitoring and control functions by the operator. Each subsystem is individually programmed by STEP7 software based on TIA, and various subsystems are interconnected by the safety interlock. HMI configurations are finished by WINCC software based on TIA, making the whole system easy to operate, test, maintain and upgrade. The control system can achieve the function design after initial testing.
