Study on Control System for Microwave Power Source Experimental Platform

  • Tsinghua University Accelerator Laboratory has built microwave power source experimental platform, and designed the bilayer control system consisting of PLC and LabVIEW to ensure its safe and stable operation. PLC directly controls equipment on ground floor, with security and stability advantages. Through real-time communication with PLC, the LabVIEW programming OPI on the industrial personal computer achieves the monitoring status and remote control of each equipment with good interactive features. And the designed fast protection device of voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) achieves the interrupt control of microwave on μs level. The results show that the entire control system can ensure the safe and stable operation of the experimental platform, and has a good visual monitoring function. It is convenient to achieve the control of small microwave system in laboratory with power operation.
