Research on Steam Condensation Heat Transfer Model in Presence of Non-condensable Gas at High Pressure

  • The research on the steam condensation heat transfer in presence of non-condensable gas at high pressure is vital in the safety of small reactors. Now the research of this physical problem mostly focuses on the low pressure condition, and the research on the high pressure condition is quite immature. The steam condensation heat transfer model in presence of non-condensable gas at high pressure was established in this paper. Instead of the ideal gas assumption, the real gas state equation was adopted to determine the relationship between the concentration gradient and partial pressure gradient in the diffusion equation. The model results coincide well with the existing experiment data, and it is indicated that this approach can be used for the thermo hydraulic analysis in the gas-steam pressurizer, compact containment and other nuclear safety related equipments.
