Development of General ATCA EPICS Device Support Module Based on HPI

  • ATCA is used in reactor instrumentation and control system because of its high availability. However, its system management software, only developed by the equipment manufacturer, has poor readability and operability. In this paper, an EPICS device support module based on HPI protocol was developed. The ATCA hardware information, such as fan, temperature sensor, power supply and board, was transmitted to operator interface by this module. The operator could monitor and manage ATCA system and the remote configuration was realized. This module plays an important role in the reliability of instrumentation and control system of thorium molten salt reactor.
