Development of Kinetics Model in Core Nuclear Design Code CYCAS

  • The kinetics model and its numerical verification were studied for core nuclear design code CYCAS. The kinetics model employed by CYCAS code was introduced in detail. In order to verify the effectiveness of the kinetics model, the LMW transient benchmark and the dynamic insertion issue of control rod in AP1000 core were simulated and analyzed. The calculation results show that the kinetics model of CYCAS code could obtain reliable results.
