Study on HPGe γ Spectrometry Based on Digital Pulse Shaping Technology

  • In order to meet the requirement of γ spectrometry for high energy resolution, a HPGe γ spectrometry based on digital pulse shaping technology was designed. The HPGe γ spectrometry with the full energy scale of 8 192 channels, consists of front-end circuit, digital pulse processing module and upper computer software. The design of front-end circuit and the selection of the digital pulse shaping parameters in the digital pulse processing module were introduced. Meanwhile, the sources of 60Co, 134Cs, 137Cs and 152Eu were applied to test the HPGe γ spectrometry. The test results show that the energy resolution for 1 332 keV peak of 60Co is 1.8 keV. The linear fitting factor R2 between peaks of 152Eu and their corresponding channels can reach 0.999 993. The designed HPGe γ spectrometry can meet the requirement of γ spectrometry for high energy resolution.
