Calculations of Excitation Function and Thick Target Yield for 186W(p,n)186Reg Reaction

  • For calculating the excitation function of 186W(p,n)186Reg reaction, some experimental data in EXFOR data base were collected and evaluated. After comparing the evaluated data with the theoretical data calculated by the EMPIRE code, the proper optical model potential and the level density parameters were chosen. Then the recommended value of the reaction cross section and the thick target yield were given. Using the excitation function, the thick target yield for the therapeutic radioisotope 186Reg was calculated and the recommended value was given.
