Abstract
During the on-site calibration work for the environmental gamma dose rate meter above the radiation environment automatic monitoring station, the standard meter is usually placed beside the calibrated meter due to the limiting condition, so the shielding effect of the station will take error to the calibration coefficient. The accuracy of the field calibration is improved by building the model of the environment space around the station, simulating the particle transport process in MCNP, and correcting the calibration coefficient by the simulation results and experimental verification.
