Research on Dual-energy Gas Detector and Its Calibration Method

  • In this paper, a dual-energy gas detector was designed, and the simulation research was taken to validate its feasibility in material discrimination. On the base of simulation, the prototype of dual-energy gas detector was developed and X-ray transmission experiment was done for four kinds of materials. The experiment results show that the dual-energy gas detector possesses the ability of material discrimination. The calibration method of dual-energy gas detector was studied, and it can improve the consistency of detector units.
