Analysis of Plutonium-238 Aerosol Gaussian Dispersal Model in Spacecraft Launch Accident

  • In order to evaluate the plutonium-238 aerosol pollution consequence in spacecraft launch accident, the Gaussian dispersal model was used to calculate the total effective dose of exposure staff, respirable aerosol concentration and ground deposition concentration around release point of the accident. The results show that the area and extent of radioactive contamination are different due to different aerosol dispersal states. The results will provide the basis for the rapid radiation emergency response in the launch accident.
