Design and Realization of VCSEL Wavelength Locked Loop of CPT Atomic Clock

  • A VCSEL wavelength locked loop of CPT atomic clock was designed by using the method of VCSEL wavelength locking based on multi-wavelength Doppler absorption spectroscopy and the Cs D2 line was used as the reference frequency of VCSEL wavelength locking. The control precision of VCSEL wavelength locked loop is better than 0.000 6 nm, while the stability of VCSEL wavelength locked loop is better than 2.84×10-7, and the signal-to-noise of CPT is improved. The VCSEL wavelength locked loop is applied to the CPT atomic clock experiment system and the frequency stability test result shows that the performance of VCSEL wavelength locked loop can meet the needs of the CPT atomic clock.
