Energy Drift Correction Method for γ Spectrum of CTBT Aerosol Sample

  • Aerosol samples from CTBT radionuclide stations are usually measured by HPGe γ ray spectroscopy system. Energy calibration is an important part of γ spectrum, which determines the accuracy and reliability of spectrum analysis results. Aiming at the problem on energy drift of γ spectra from CTBT radionuclide stations, an energy drift correction method based on γ rays of natural radionuclides 212Pb, 212Bi, 208Tl, 210Pb, 40K and 7Be was proposed. The test results show that the energy deviation of γ peaks in spectra is corrected effectively by the energy drift correction method.
