Study on Innovative Method for Measuring Focal Spot Size of X-ray Tube

  • In this paper, an innovative method for the measurement of focal spot size was proposed, called the cone-hole method, which records the X-ray intensity distribution at the edge of light field by using flat panel detector, with the help of the cone-hole. And then the focal spot size can be calculated. The operation and the measurement condition of this method are simple, and the experimental results show that the proposed method can measure the focal spot size efficiently.
