Fission Rate Distribution Research for Venus Ⅱ Fast Neutron Spectrum Zone

  • The distributions of fission rate were fully calculated by Monte Carlo code MCNP. The measurement plans for fission rate distribution were optimized by theoretical results, and the detector locations were reasonably arranged. Solid state nuclear track detectors were employed to obtain the experimental results of fission rate distribution in fast neutron spectrum zone of Venus Ⅱ, and the fission rate distributions in fast neutron spectrum zone were confirmed. The results show that the measurement results agree well with the theoretical results, and they will be the experimental foundation to determine the fission power in ADS subcritical reactor core.
