Neutron Sensitivity Calibration of Fission Target Detection System Based on SiC Detector

  • The 14.9 MeV neutron sensitivity of the 235U and 238U detection system in Cockcroft-Walton accelerator was calibrated using current method and pulsed method, respectively. The principle, method and result of the pulsed method were introduced, and the result of pulsed method was compared with that of current method. The result shows that the two methods are consistent within the uncertainty. In principle, the pulsed method can deduct background by one measurement. Therefore, it is more accurate than current method. The method in this paper can provide a reference for study of the fission detector in the pulsed neutron experiment.
