Abstract
The forthcoming high energy photon source (HEPS) requires high performance of quadrupole magnet power supply. In order to master the key technology of this type of magnet power supply, and solve the technical difficulty that might be met in the future, the prototype of high precision DC power supply was developed for the HEPS test facility. A modular structure was adopted on the prototype, and a control method combining digital and analog regulators was adopted to realize high precision control to current. In order to achieve the design index of current stability, a self-developed high-precision digital controller and DCCT were adopted on the prototype, and the key components were under temperature control. The experiment result shows that the current stability is up to 10 ppm, and the voltage ripple is lower than the design index of 5 mV. The other parameters also meet the requirement of the physical design. Finally, the prototype has passed the acceptance test.
