Development of Beijing Radioactive Ion Beam Facility Isotope Separator On-line

  • The Beijing Radioactive Ion Beam Facility Isotope Separator On-line (BRISOL) is a radioactive ion beam facility based on a 100 MeV and 200 μA cyclotron. The radioactive ion beams are produced by bombarding the thick target with proton beam provided by cyclotron. The resolving power of the BRISOL is better than 20 000. The construction of the BRISOL facility was completed, and the radioactive ion beams of 37K+, 38K+, 20Na+, and 21Na+ were produced by bombarding CaO and MgO targets with 100 MeV proton beam. The detail of the BRISOL facility was introduced in this paper.
