Application of Pneumatic Conveying Technology in Storage Facility for Radioactive Waste Liquid

  • In order to ensure the safety of cold commissioning of the radioactive waste liquid pneumatic conveying system and verify the rationality and reliability of the design, the operating parameters of the cold commissioning process were calculated using Bernoulli’s equation. The reason of deviation between the theoretical calculation and the measured value was verified by conditional input. The results show that the calculated process operating parameters are in good agreement with the cold commissioning test results. The process design for the radioactive waste liquid pneumatic conveying system is reasonable. The method recommended in this study can be used to calculate the process operating parameters of similar systems. By analyzing the impact of pipe diameter and vacuum system design on the safe operation of radioactive waste liquid storage facilities, technical improvement methods and suggestions are put forward.
