Study on 90Sr Measurement with Accelerator Mass Spectrometry

  • In order to carry out the applications of 90Sr in the environment, medicine and other fields, the measurement method of 90Sr with accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) was developed. The AMS measurement method of 90Sr is systematically studied from the negative ion extraction technique, the AMS system transmission conditions, the unique isobaric separation technology with Q3D magnetic spectrometer and the ion identification method with multianode gas ionization chamber. The interference is effectively eliminated and the measurement sensitivity for 90Sr is 90Sr/Sr=9.2×10-13. It lays a foundation for carrying out various applications.
