Experimental Investigation on Effect of Double Holes on Characteristics of Direct Contact Condensation

  • Direct contact condensation through double holes was investigated experimentally in this paper. The experiment was conducted under the conditions of steam mass flux of 50-500 kg/(m2·s) and the pool temperature of 35-85 ℃. The data of pressure pulsation and high speed video camera were obtained with perfect synchronization. Analysis and research were mainly focused on the influences of double holes on the characteristics of direct contact condensation. The results show that condensation regime maps of single hole and double holes are different. The number of holes results in the change of the regime transition boundary. Besides, the turning point of the pressure pulsation intensity and frequency of the direct contact condensation occurs in advance with the change of thermal parameters.
