Research Progress on Separation of HLLW Using Amido Podand Extractants

  • The development of HLLW separation technology using amido podand extractants is the research hotspots in recent years. In the past two decades, the extraction chemistry of An with a variety of amido podand extractants was studied in China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE), and a series of group separation experiments with the selected TODGA extractants were proposed. The separation of An(Ⅲ) and Ln(Ⅲ) with a soft N-donor ligand extractants was conducted. At the same time, a process of Sr extraction by TODGA was developed. The separation of An and extraction of Sr by solid-liquid adsorption system combining the isolating reagent with solid phase materials were also studied by relevant domestic research institutes. The study above was summarized in this paper and some suggestions for further research were put forward.
