Study of Real-time Measure Technique of Hand Directional Dose Equivalent Rate Based on Si-PIN

  • A real-time dosemeter of hand directional dose equivalent rate and accumulated dose was developed, which was able to be equipped on fingers, and realtime measurement as well as over threshold alarm of dose irradiated by X/γ ray field with energy from 8 keV to 250 keV and dose rate from 1 μSv/h to 1 mSv/h was achieved. This dosemeter is composed of probe, relay and host. SiPIN detector and ASIC are integrated in the probe, and controller, screen and alarm are integrated in the host. Experiment and MonteCarlo simulation were studied to design the compensate layer, after all designs, a probe as small as 2 cm×1 cm×0.5 cm was developed which was suitable to be worn on fingers, and real time measurement was achieved. Calibration and test were conducted which came to conclusion that the energy response and dose rate linearity meet the requirement of standards.
