Research on Rubidium Isotope Separation by Light-induced Drift Method

  • Efficient separation of rubidium isotopes is of great significance for the development of navigation and positioning technology in our country. In order to fill the research gap in the field of new rubidium isotope separation technology, the technology of rubidium isotope separation by light-induced drift was explored. An experimental device for rubidium isotope separation was established. The isotope ratio was measured by direct absorption spectroscopy to verify the separation effect in the rubidium isotope separation experiment. The experimental results show that when the light-induced drift method is used for the separation of rubidium isotopes, the enrichment of 85Rb and 87Rb can be achieved by changing the excitation laser frequency. The experimental data of absorption spectrum proves that the method has obvious separation effect, and the change of isotope ratio with excitation laser frequency accords with the qualitative analysis of light-induced drift principle.
