Research Progress and Prospect of Zero Power Reactor

  • Zero power reactor is the important and fundamental experiment platform for reactor physics research. With simple structure and high flexibility, the active area of reactor core can be adjusted for the specific research object, to validate the accuracy of nuclear design software and nuclear data libraries, obtain important reactor physics experimental data and inspect the effectiveness of reactor measurement and control devices. In this paper, a brief description of zero power reactor is given, the domestic and foreign development process is reviewed, and the research progress and prospect are discussed.
