Research on Radioactive Organic Waste Treatment Technology

  • This paper introduces the current situation of research on radioactive organic waste treatment technology in China, discusses the key points of the radioactive organic waste treatment technology, and proposes the following suggestions for the further development of more safe, efficient and economical radioactive organic waste treatment technology in China. The supercritical water oxidation technology still needs to analyze the key technologies affecting the treatment efficiency, making it available for different working conditions accelerating the industrialization process of the supercritical water oxidation technology. Various dry oxidation treatment technologies have their own advantages and disadvantages. Among them, the plasma technology has a good volume reduction effect on radioactive organic solid waste, but its investment and operation cost are high. Therefore, the treatment process needs to be gradually optimized. At present, the domestic research on cold crucible glass solidification technology mainly focuses on the field of high-level radioactive liquid waste, but according to the results of foreign, it can also be applied to the treatment of organic waste such as radioactive spent resin. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out extensive research to provide new solutions for the treatment of organic waste. The research on radioactive organic waste treatment technology should be based on organic waste treatment technology, and further focus on the impact of radioactivity on the characteristics of waste. To the physical and chemical characteristics of different radioactive organic wastes, the appropriate treatment technology should be selected, and the existing treatment technology should be improved, and the corresponding research should be carried out to fill the current technical blank and improve the technical maturity of radioactive organic waste treatment in China.
